If you’ve unsubscribed from Netflix recently, you’re not alone. However, data from Recurly suggests that even around half of those who cancel Netflix return within six months, usually because a high-profile tv show or movie they want to see is coming out on the service.
If this sounds like you, this week may be one worth looking at as you weigh your streaming subscription options. From the return of one of Netflix’s most popular series ever to a raunchy new animated series featuring the voice talents of Succession’s Adam Scott, there are a lot of brand new shows to look forward to this week on Netflix.
The Night Agent
The action suspense hit comes to Netflix for a third season
The Night Agent, which follows US special operative Peter Sutherland (played by Gabriel Basso) was a surprise hit for Netflix when it debuted in 2023, quickly rocketing up the charts and becoming one of Netflix’s most-watched series of all time. As a night agent, Peter deals with the most intense threats to national security, and this season, he’s on the hunt in his own backyard, tracking down a Treasury Agent who is suspected of murder and selling secrets. This season will also see Peter grappling with his past and the role that he has played in helping enemy factions rise to power.
The new season is dropping later this week on February 19th, with all ten episodes dropping at once.
Being Gordon Ramsay
A look into the celebrity chef’s life and businesses
If you’re nostalgic for Gordon Ramsay shows like Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Hell, this week will bring a new six-part docuseries that is just for you. But instead of helping struggling business owners, this series turns the camera on to celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay himself as he works to open five separate dining establishments at a single location: 22 Bishopsgate. And as you might suspect from the title, this series isn’t just about the celebrity chef’s business dealings as it also gives viewers a window into Ramsay’s private life with his wife and six kids as well.
All six episodes of the first season of Being Gordon Ramay will be released on Wednesday, February 18.
Strip Law
Adult animation with a seriously star-studded cast
If you love adult-focused animated shows like Big Mouth, Bojack Horseman or even Archer, you might be interested in Strip Law, which follows a down-on-its-luck law firm in Las Vegas. The series features Succession’s Adam Scott as lawyer Lincoln Gumb, who can’t win any cases, until he he teams up with local magician Sheila Flambé, voiced by Abbott Elementary’s Janelle James. Rounding out this series’ star studded cast are Joel McHale, Stephen Root and Keith David.
The 10-episode first season of Strip Law will release all at once on Friday, February 20.
